Raboconda Tire Changer for 240 rear wheel?

Finally found some time to change the back tire using the Big Blue Lift and the Rabaconda. The only difficulty I had was breaking the bead on the old tire. I sprayed soap around the bead first and had it out in the sun to heat up. It still took a lot of muscle and finally a big push downward, success. The rest was fairly textbook. One hundred miles today and the Excedra Max 240 55R 16 was perfect.

the biggest problem with the 2019 down was the way the rim is made
you have to keep the bead in the middle of the rim when changing.
when the bead is close to the edge it does not have the room to come off
i have had them break the rubber on the bead with them bib tire machines because they would not listen.

I just ordered a new set of tires. I have 3k on the stock Chromes, and I feel better having a new set ready to go. I'll post up how the change goes with a No Mar when the time comes.

I had to go to a car tyre shop to get mine done, even though they were reluctant. No bike shop would touch it. Triumph wants £120. I got it done for £20. No balancing, though.

I'd rather use weights like I do on the fronts, but the Dyna Beads do seem to work well in the rear tires.

I'll have to take it off again and spin it. I left that old one on for now
You can remove the valve in the stem and funnel them in that way, but I think it would take some time and patience. I had the same issue trying to find someone to balance it and decided to go that route, although easier before the bead is set.

Interesting, never heard of that method over here.
