RAA III Picture Thread

After meeting Tony and Greg, I detected a slight sense of humor and the ability to consider the source, so I think I'm okay. If not, Tony and Greg, please accept my humblest apology. I'm not quite ready to become Shark bait:D

Snuff......

I'm quite sure that neither of them would take offense. It's all in fun anway. That's why it's nice to get together. Putting faces with the names removes the impersonal attitude of the Internet.

I didn't have the foggiest idea you were a skinny bald little sucker........:D

Riding the blender......

Last night I finally got most all the pictures posted in the album area. I didn't post duplicates nor did I post Britman whizzing what he thought was discreetly...ha.:D

I have a few more but it's rather time consuming so I'll finish them this weekend.

The Rock is in the garage. It will stay there until I take it to Baxters in Marne, Ia to get repaired. It's a long way, but after having talked to Gus at Baxters, I'm much more comfortable with having them do the repairs (which, will be completely warranted by Triumph even though the bike is slightly out of warranty) When you ride the bike, it sounds like a blender...it's more of a resonance through the bike than noise. It's very disconcerting.

Tomo holds Baxters in high regard and Baxters holds Tomo in high regard as well.

It's too bad that my somewhat local dealer here in Michigan has no idea or at least won't admit that he has any idea about the warranty issues or the repairs other than some vague statements and wanting my VIN to commence what he said was a 'possible' warranty claim.

She made it all the way home, almost 2300 miles, most of it on the bad TDU bearing so I imagine that there is quite a bit of collaterial damage done from bearing debris inside the engine. Like Gus at Baxters said to me...."You do what you have to do. It's too bad that Triumph don't have a well established dealer network but, Triumph will warrant all damage and repair it at no cost to you". I explained to him that the bike is experiencing the 'rubber' shifter syndrome and is getting hard to get into neutral...something I attribute to bearing debris in the engine itself. He said that will all be addressed and repaired using new parts and assemblies as needed as well as the securement of the screw on the shift rail quadrant..

I certainly like these people at Baxters. Thank you again Tomo for pointing me in the right direction.

It's going to be a long trip (with a stop in KC to see Tomo, Pig and Pianoman of course) but I'll be able to leave the trailer at Baxters so I don't have to drag it 2 ways.
