ABS light

If your ABS light stays on after you start and move (all the time never goes out) than the computer has picking up a fault, I agree with Hanso disconnect the negative side of the battery for at least 5 min this should clear any stored codes, after you restart and ride a while if it comes back on than I would recommend having it serviced so they can determine the fault or cause.

Well, hello. I have used this site back and forth a bit. Love my R3, did Sturgis South, and Sturgis North last year on her. Just posted about my ABS light staying on. Anyone else had this?

Welcome indeed!
What the hell is "Sturgis South, and Sturgis North"? I only know of Sturgis, SD.
I was there last August and saw only two other R3Rs - both were parked together on the strip and wearing Corbin bags.

Muleskinner, I did get a Beer Maid who went ga ga over my Bone Daddy's shirt to climb on in front of me for a photo. Love my solo seat:D Hate that a few days later, I lost my **** camera:eek:

Wow, So much replies

Thank you Everyone. Especially the Aussie, I tried the disconnect (battery) and everything re-set itself, Thank you. In response to Sturgis South, it was ok, most of the Harley riders were really interested in the R3, defiantly doing that again this year. Sturgis North is our Canadian version of Sturgis South, its only been going for a couple years, but fantastic riding in the Rockies (Near Sicamous, British Columbia). And yes, Cheezewiz, such a staple from University. Thanks again>

My Pleasure Glad it was just what I have heard it called a "a hard reset" it simply resets all the electronic switches in the ECU after it has allowed the ECU to drain any residual power so it goes back to default settings when re-energised by reconecting the battery, there that was a mouthfull
If the problem keeps coming back I would certainly be taking it back to your dealer and it wouldn't hurt to mention it to him anyway so it is on record
Cheers
Hans
