R3 lighting problem

Ignition switch turned all the way to the left in park position. If your parking lights are hooked up it will come on then.

Have you popped out the headlights to see if the short is in the housing? I would take the headlights out leave them hooked up and see if you blow a fuse? Then put them back in with them on and see if they short while reinstalling.

like what was said the daymakers use about half of the originals.
when working on mine 07 it had a 20 amp for ign and lights. a 5 amp sounds a little weak for headlights u might want to double check the fuse # and it may be possible for the lights to be on the wrong circuit.

having head light problems.
I just replaced the starter relay and later that day my head lights quit only coming on while starting the bike otherwise nothing.

tail light/signals are working fine. fuses are good but I knew that before checking em.

I was trying to figure if/where the headlight relay is? is it the same as the starter relay? manual isn't to clear. pictures and or video are most appreciated....

Sounds like a wiring issue. They should go out while starting. Did you reverse the wires on the starter relay?

Thanks, had another look it's 5 pronged and can't be put in backwards. bought another relay and it's working for now.
If it goes again I'll have to order one from the dealer. it's a nice ride.
