Question about new tune

Fuel octane is irrelevant for rockets, 85,87,91,93 they all run fine, though 89 runs the best in my bike after the engine work.

It's not a knock limited design.

Do not agree with this. Not only using a higher than recommended octane would result in a waste of money, it could lead to some complications if continued for a long period of time. There are reasons for Truimph to recommended 87 Octane fuel. I do have the luxury of burning regular gas no corn syrup.

Your stumble at those speeds sounds like a slightly lean mixture, and tune related, if it didnt do it prior to re-tuning that is. If it was doing it before then it could be a vac leak. My first stop would be the tuner for an adjustment the the program. When i was very young and pulling down a carburetor to find out why my bike wouldnt run after i changed the ignition points, and old ex mechanic said to me "it was going when you drove it into the garage and before you touched the points why do you think the carb would suddenly be causing you a problem"? After i assured him it couldnt be the points i have rechecked them he pointed out that i had no spark and ten seconds later showed me where i had fitted an insulating washer in the wrong place grounding out the points. Moral of the story if something suddenly stops working and you just touched it then there is a 99% chance its something you did.
