Project Build Using a Rocket Engine

Not really been up to much... just removed the secondary butterflies on the throttle bodies and offered the engine up to the back of the chassis to get some ideas on the subframe design.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm thinking of turning the engine through 90 degrees anti-clockwise and running it transversely with a chain and sprocket (for a 300+ tyre). My only concern is how the output shaft / engine case will react to dealing with forces they were never designed for!? Could be fine... could be a potential disaster! I guess I could fabricate some kind of bearing-mounted 'support' for the shaft on the subframe?

Just thinking out loud... :D

I would be inclined to agree there as a separate support would carry the loads better as long as it was well designed with plenty of gusseting:)
