I sent the question below to Progressive and their response is attached.
I own a 2007 Triumph Rocket III Classic Tourer. I am 230lbs and passenger is 150lbs, 380 together.
I ride about 50% 2-up.
Would you suggest the 440 or 440 HD? And at what setting?
I ride mostly smooth roads and highways on long trips, but around town is pretty bumpy with potholes.
I want a smoother ride and better control over bumps.

I would choose the HD because of your weight. As for the setting take a sag measurement from fender to ground with you off the bike than again with you and passenger on the bike and measuere the same two points. The diff is your sag and at stock height your sag will be at 1.25 to 1.50. And adjust shocks to see that #.
Thank you
