Just wanted to give everyone a little review on the Progressive 430 11.5" shocks with the HD Springs.
Im 5'11" @ 175lbs, I ride daily to work, and every weekend always looking for a good variety of tight twisties and long sweepers and I have noticed that with the HD springs, it does tend to aggrivate my lower back problems a little sooner than usual.. although the dampening of the new shocks is doing a good job.. the overall ride of the bike itself is now a lot firmer
I put them on about 2 weeks ago and have ridden on them the past two weekends through some nice sweepers along with some really tight twisties out here in socal.
Overall the looks are really nice, I got the black 11.5" to match the bike and give it a little bit of a drop.
the Ride is really improved over stock. I have gained a whole lot more confidence powering through the turns w/o the bike bouncing around. The new progressives really hold the lines much better now.
I got the HD springs since the bike was going to be lowered, but I think I am going to order some standard springs and the progressive spring tool so I can swap them out myself.
Although the 430s are much more stable through the turns, there still has been a time or two when the HD springs seemed a little much for me.
On the higway, I can tell they are doing a really good job at dampening those anoying lines in the road that use to bounce me around a bit...
but once again.. hitting a nice solid bump with the HD springs and the bike sitll wants to buck me off pretty good.
Overall, I can reccommend these shocks but be careful before deciding on the Standard or HD springs?
I will let y'all know what differences I can tell when I decide to change the springs out
