Primary TPS, high idle issue.

Toss it and get a NEW one. The MAP and barometric pressure sensors can do this too. A bad connection can do this too. Mine started acting up after I installed the RamAir. It was a royal pain. Eventually it went away. Still get the high idle hiccups sometimes. Can't wait to have Scott reinstall the tune when we meet at MV.[/QUOTE]

Tnx. Because of the sc the bike doesn't have the map and barometric sensors anymore. No bad connections too. What possibly caused the issue is the main 30A fuse fromwhich its plastic housing, not the metal, gets melting in due time. ...

Just got my 05 back from the dealer with a new primary TPS. Idle was annoying before at 1600, now worse at 2500. Comes down in about 20 seconds of not touching throttle. Taking it back tomorrow, not getting good feeling about it reading these replies.

Old thread... same problems. There are two others with the same "idle running wild" issue with active threads.

Look at it you should be able to tell if its a new one or not. No tools just look at it.
