Forgive my ignorance folks but here goes.
You know the power outlet lead (in front of the seat on the left, below the tank) I have removed the panel beneath which the outlet leads lurk. I want to run a usb charging lead from them to the handlebars rather than use the standard Triumph power outlet. It has a connector comprised of a female connector with (spade) fittings at right angles to each other to accept male spade fittings. Does anyone know if the black lead to this connector is negative and the blue/black lead (on mine) is positive?? ( Ishould probably buy a multimeter, I'm ok with spanners but crap with electrics) All answers gratefully received:thumbsup:

Look for any post from @idk. In his signature is a link to a colour coded wiring diagram.

But Yes! : buy a cheapo multimeter - I think mine cost me 12 quid. OK I do have a 700quid one as well, but for bike work the cheapo is best.

Acording to my diagram - should be Black and Purple - Black Earth and purple power. But that's way you need a multimeter - 'tis off to LIDL or Halfords for you!.

An important note. The T connector will almost certainly NOT couple to a USB adapter - But the faston connectors inside maybe will.

DO NOT LEAVE THE POSITIVE CONNECTOR UNSHEATHED - IT WILL SHORT and the wire-smoke will escape.
