Will the PC remove the speed limter? When the bike gets back from the shop having the Up Grade kit done, I am going to install the under seat K&N filter and a Power Comander to go with the Jardines. I was hoping that this would also remove the speed limiter. ???????

No it will not... Can only access the speed limiter and the restrictions on the secondary butterfiles with tuneboy...

Mike....

Is the real advantage of removing the secondaries the swift throttle response along with opening the throttle limit? I'm asking cause I want to cut the BC and put K&N filters on for the look..I'm not concerned at this time with competition like acceleration....sometimes when cruisin along e with one hand only on the throttle and have on a couple occasions experienced the huge spike in pucker factor when inadvertantly jerking the throttle...

You could use a Gipro Atre to loose the restrictions.I know me and a few on this site have used them.

Removing the secondaries without resetting the lower fuel tables will invite a lot of deceleration popping (overrun backfire). If you want to do it and not sound like Orville Reddenbacher is holding a mega-concert in the engine bay, get a Tuneboy. The PCIII does a very good job of fiddling mix but has limitations beyond that because it goes in AFTER the factory ECM (takes ECM output and adjusts the signals to throttle bodies and fuel pump). Tuneboy reprograms the ECM directly. You can raise the redline, adjust the ignition maps, perform diagnostics and spend countless hours wondering exactly how you destroyed your engine (something a PCIII just can't do). I did mention "risk/reward" didn't I????

Your mileage may vary. I got the tuneboy and just opened up the secondaries to 100%, but I have to be honest ... I didn't notice much difference, if any. Now, I did NOT have the 3x K&N or custom exhaust, so perhaps those things in combination will make a difference.

I later removed the secondary plates and DID notice a difference in responsiveness, but it was also much more "twitchy" and can be jerky if you are not very smooth on the throttle.

I still have them off now, and it is still twitchy, but I am used to it, and so I plan to just leave them off.

Did you notice a difference when you put the TTS air filter on?

Yeah ... the new "TTS air filter" really helps! I had to get a wider rear tire just to keep it from spinning all the time.

I gues I'm not too clear on my question...what I'm trying to learn is can I put the three K&N filters on without tweaking or removing any thing else but the stock intake assembly??..
