Hi as alot of you guys well know i had my bikes major service done the other week at GOLDCOAST TRIUMPH in nerang and i had a missfiring problem.

Now when i dropped the bike off i spoke directly to Matt the mechanic and also previously on the phone.
I told Matt that the bike was missfiring and could they sought it out while it was there . I also pointed out the fact that i thought it could be sparkplug leads as one had a crack in the threaded cup that connects it to the coil.
I was assured that they would check the leads and sort the problem during the service.
Then i was contacted by them to say it was not going to be ready that day because when they undone one of the sump plugs the thread came out with it. Straight away looking for a scapegoat they suggested the last place to service it must have over torqued the bolt to which i calmly informed them that it was indeed them that serviced it last and that they would be wearing the cost of the repair. After some disscussion they agreed to wear the cost. Anyway so next day i have gone in to pick the bike up after being contacted to say its ready and ride it half way down the road. STILL MISSFIRING . So i rode it straight back and told Matt the "Mechanic" He says thats strange it didnt do it when we took it for a ride" funny that cos it did it everyday for the last two weeks for me. So he starts going on about it being crap on the crank angle sensor . So he un does it and then cleans it but says oh that lil squirt of oil isnt good"at this point it becomes clear that this bloke knows nothing" then starts going on about all the mods on the bike and how its probably the powercommander or gipro causing it.

Long story short I say did you check the leads like i asked.
he replies oh we didnt test them but we had a look and they looked ok
WTF one had a crack in it ffs how does that look ok.
So i got the ****s with them and took the bike home tested the leads myself and guess what? that lead was ****ed
So bassically those blokes down there cant even figure it out when its pointed out to them and this was a MAJOR SERVICE i might add and they couldnt even take the time to check my leads even after concerns wher raised.

Manager rang me to appologise but to little to late im affraid.

doesnt end there either they also stripped one of the bolts on my valve cover and the bolt on the cam inspection cover.

My advise steer well clear of Gold coast Triumph Nerang unless u dont mind Amatures working on your bike . Excuses and second rate work
