Would something like this fit under the handlebar clamp?

The 1" clamp with the ball in the center that you placed under the handlebar clamp, what does it actually bolt to? Have a link or picture of that clamp? Maybe with a picture I can figure out how you mounted it.
Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but with winter here for me, it's now time to start modding instead of riding.

My pix were not very clear regarding the "B" ball 1" handlebar mount.
The one you depict will NOT fit under the Triumph handlebar clamp.
Pretty sure I used this one:
RAM Mount Plastic Rail Mount Base with 1 inch Ball
This one works fine, but is difficult to tighten completely.
Now that I have searched again in response to your question, I am thinking this one may be better:
RAM Mount Large Strap Rail Base with B-Ball RAM-B-108B-STRAP40U

Looked these guys up. Web page sux because all the pix are too small to see good detail.
They are indeed spendy, but I find this one very interesting:

Just not willing to blow $65 on something that may or may not work.

I put the double ball with double bolt handlegrip connector. a 4 inch extension and then a double joint and the ram mount for the GPS

You be the guy I was just now looking for - (post re: Rob).
It works well under my fly, which keeps it dry - I remove it whenever I stop.
Kong has indeed been @DEcosse blessed for years and I shall also do Yur Mama!!!

I in a moment of madness ordered this thing from ebay, it was actually buying one get one free -anyhoo here are a few pictures and yes the usb ports work fine(x2) it does what it says it will do but it is cheap not quality like the ram mounts.
