Pesky Turn signal

Has anyone had trouble with the turn signals on the tourer? The front left will not work but the back does, just faster than usual. Would a bad relay be causing that?

I have replaced the bulb and checked the wiring and all seems to be good. Even replaced the bulb just in case. I remember a bad relay with the problem when I thought I had starter issues before.

Leaving for a 3 day trip Wednesday and would like to have this fixed.

Bad bulb in the front will cause that. If that's not it then the ground to the front is bad. The flasher unit isn't selective, so with half the draw it goes faster. Check the socket for a good connection and voltage. You can use a multi-meter to ensure it's getting voltage (12-ish) intermittently.
 
Yes and like he said with checking voltage and also use the battery ground and then the bulb ground. (the outside of the socket). See if you can use bulb grease to keep the connection better. A small amount , just a thin coating, of Truk-lit will work. Not certain of the spelling, but it works great. It is an "anti-siez" for bulbs. Sort of a dielectric grease.
 
well it was a grounding problem, the piece of black plastic that hold the wire connectors and bulb together had some broken pieces, I have it wedge together now and hopefully can get that plastic replacement down the road.

thanks, I was going to order another piece of the the problem plastic, unfortunately Triumph only sells the whole signal.

Salvage yards will sell you bits and bobs of one for the price of the whole thing.
 
This is RIDICULOUS! I need to replace my RF turn signal bulb but I CANNOT find the designation for the bulb I need. I've looked in both the owner's manual AND the shop manual and I don't see what bulb I need! All the manual says is 12V, 10W.

I may be converting to an entire LED setup soon - but I'm not ready yet and I just want to buy the freaking bulb and put it in. I certainly dont want to go to the dealer and pay his price - I figure I can get one at Advance Auto Parts for a fraction of the dealer price.

I'm just frustrated - but I know someone can help.

I believe you will find it is a Sylvania 7507 bulb. The pin configuration is kind of different than most bulb.
