Cool, glad to share my pics. You're right, a few photos during mods or maintenance are really helpful. The many great posts and resources on this forum have definitely made my life with the beast easier, that's for sure.

I made a filler plate and drilled a 7/8" hole in it. Then I just added a weatherproof outlet from walmart. cut the flange off the mounting plate that came with the plug .
The outter shell is threaded and the flange I was talking about , L shaped bracket, acts like a nut. When you see it it should be self explanitory. Easy install overall.
