TURBO200R4
stand up straight and grab the world by the a$$
sometimes things pop into my head while sleeping or early morning so
with a fresh cup of coffee i thought that when a bike is new it probably would not get hot when it is brand new but it might be boarder line meaning maybe in arizona stuck in traffic at a hundred plus degrees might turn on the heat light and set a code.
anyway our bikes are not new so the radiators
may be slightly plugged
the engine idle may be off a little
the voltage may be down a little (the less voltage the slower the fan turns)
we maybe have a tune that runs a little more rich/lean
what i am trying to say is that maybe our bikes will no longer stand long lines of traffic and will over heat for what ever reason in long lines moving at 5 miles and stop and go traffic.
so what i am suggesting when doing this may be we could pull in the clutch and rev the motor to 2000-2500 this would pump more water thru the radiator and also bring the voltage up so that fan spins more rpm . this maybe will help and turn off the check engine light.
also maybe just being at a high temperature may trigger the heat sensor code without there being a real problem.
remember these are just thoughts not carved into stone. my only experience was a long time ago was at a fast food place in line at the drive through engine running bad and the heat light came on when i left revving engine and start to go it went out.
