Open up Bear claw

Hi i have k&n filters on my r3r is there any advantage of opening up the bear claw for more air flow ?
 
Depends on what else is done to the bike. Power-Tripp showed a gain by exposing them on a bike with exhaust done.

with much time on my hands and a spare bearclaw when back home I will design a homemade claw using what is called a NACA intake , used a lot in aviation. we will see ( bill can you guess from where I am writing this post from??)
