So.. - Having never ridden anything bigger than a 660 I bought a 2004 R3. It was delivered yesterday
Words can't describe things from here on other than to quote my daughter - "HELL YEAH!!!"
This machine is insane.. Even more so than my old '73 455 HO Trans Am. Plays nice when treated right, but will rip your eyes out in a heart beat.

Seriously impressed

Apart from some bad scratches on the tank (undisclosed by the dealer) it goes real nice. Have an idea to pretty up the paintwork - stay tuned.

Hey ppl - thanks to those who commented/replied/welcomed...
After a week of awesomeness and 450+ km (Aussies are metric) I still can't get my head around this machine. Astounding isn't nearly an adequate descriptor.

I also went ahead with my creative fix for the damaged fuel (gas) tank finish. Thread to follow.

For now I'm just Lovin' Rock'n it on a Rocket .
