Wide front end

A friend of mine rides a Triumph 3 Roadster. He usually has a cycle in his shop making improvements or modifying it. He sent me a picture of a cruiser, looks like a R3. What does look like, and has anyone seen this done? The wide front end and the odd air inlet. Just looks different from anything I've seen.

Saw it done on an M109 a few years ago. It was unrideable.

Yep tri rocket 3 Les was the first years ago followed by his nephew who built the beast triple a super charged 2300 cc speed triple that ended up with 240 front and rear all done on the rocket chassis

O.K. Bob R. I was trying to be politically correct. I hate the look of a wide front end. Reminds me of my fat tired mini bike I had as a kid! The darn thing was slow and sucked on turns. I don't think this Rocket would be any better on turns, probably fast enough.
Any ideas on the the possible air intake?
