I have a leak on the left side of the motor coming from under the oil tank. Been told there's some O rings on the oil tank that need to be replaced.

Once the throttle bodies come off where do I hang them? Anything that I have to specially careful about there?

Drain the oil tank and once the two screws that hold the tank come off, how do I get it out?

Thank you

light cherry bomb drop in tank screw on lid quickly and take cover.:laugh:
seriously u might want to blow out the tube area (safety glasses) if u have air so nothing falls into the tubes. usually just a little wiggle with upward pressure and it should come out. i would drain it first.

First you might want to loosen the two main tank bolts and wiggle the tank then bolt it back down and test her. I've seen this work especially on early models that have not had the new fittings installed from the update kit.

Other than that you pretty much got the right idea on the steps. I hang the throttle bodies from the handle bars. You will have to decide on whether you want to remove the injector rail or pull it with the throttle bodies. It depends on what room you have under the tank. Myself I always pull the fuel tank as it's easy, more room to work and less chance of damaging the paint. You don't have to lift the oil tank up very high to remove it from the bottom fittings. There are also a couple mounts on each end of the throttle bodies not just the bottom hose clamps. You'll probably have to unplug the two TPS units from the harness. And the map sensor vacuum lines (if you have never done it and since yours is a 07 I would take the extra time and change all vacuum lines and plug caps especially since you are removing the throttle bodies) the oil tank also has a mounting bracket to the head between #1 & #2 ports on the head. And mounted to the head

Hope this helps its really a easy job
Oh and after it is unbolted it just pops up. You might have to help it with a pry bar but your popping it up off the O-rings.

Hey... great pictures. So, the throttle bodies come off the intake manifold? No new gaskets? Where does the tube on top of the tank go to?

Pipes are off, TORS going in. Lubed the rear gear box... Nasty old black stuff in there. Rear CT going on, finally.
For lubing splines. Just pull on the shaft and pile some gunk in the cup front and rear and reassemble ?
Next is to lift the tank, lift the oil tank, change the O rings, install the RamAir! TUNE, Ride!

There is a rubber port mount on each throttle body and a hose clamp on each. The hose is a breather tube just take it loose at the top of the tank and move it out of your way. As for the drive shaft you can not pull it just paint the rear splines and in the cup. I leave a table spoonful in the bottom of the cup.

What is the trick to se insert the cup on the rear gear assembly into the shaft. It is hanging down and I can't catch the edge to replace the gear box.

might make a lope with a string to hold it up while u stick it in.
there is a lot of ways others will be on to explain it to u :roll::roll:
in the mean time enjoy yourself.:)
