Ugarte is like me....The KLR never leaks and it's cheap to ride. Too bad it don't have any balls either.....

I'd pressure test the tank to make sure no weld seams or fittings are leaking, especially with 68K on the bike. I know down there where you work, someone in the maintenance shop has a bottle of Magnaflux die scan fluid. I't put some in and apply 10 PSI or so, just to make sure....

No the KLR doesn't leak, but it wouldn't matter if it did because it burns oil so fast there isn't enough left to leak....:D But its a great bike and a keeper!

Not a bad idea to pressure test the oil tank, but what I will probably do is just get new rings, slap it back together and hope for the best. If it leaks again then the pressure test etc. I was intimidated at first taking off the throttle bodies but now that its been done it was fairly easy after all.

I must admit when seeing the puddle of oil under my Triumph, it brought a tear to my eye knowing that I had a real Triumph, and not some poser.....

Ugarte what year is it I have a extra tank off a 06 its black I changed it out for the chrome one. They have two different tanks depending on the serial number. I can send it to you if you have a 06?

Thanks warp, I have an 05 I bought in feb 05, but I think its just the O rings anyway.

Its an easy change especially if you have tripple filters and no plastic air box crap on her just hang the throttle bodies from the handle bars and you won't have to take the throttle cables off.
