Oil leak

I do not have that option here in Oklahoma. Have spent a lot of time studying and gathering info so we do not screw anything up. Real glad I bought the tool for holding the cams in place while installing the cam tensioner. Got sidetrack on the cam tension but Warp 9 helped me out. Shims should be coming soon so planning on taking a few days off and getting everything installed correctly. This is not my first rodeo with shims and buckets (Bonneville) but it is the first time on a Rocket. Really enjoy doing my own work anyways. Plan on drinking a lot of coffee while doing the work, No warm beer or cold beer. I figure by the time I get this completed and the Ramair installed the pipes from paul should be around the corner. With everything adjusted correctly and the upgrades installed it should be interesting to see how it runs.

Well checked the rocket this morning as I headed to work and oil is coming out again . Oh well will order the gasket and hopefully collect on Saturday morning.

Have ordered gasket and the Bolt seals but won't be in until next week. Pretty expensive too $73 for gasket & $9 each for the Bolt seals. Well it's got to be done.

Nope. 35k miles, no wear. The previous owner as careful and respectful of the bike.
Wow that is amazing. I am setting at just a little over 25,000 and required 7 shims. Six valves needed to be closed up just a little bit while one needed to be opened up a little. Went one size up on six and one size down on one. This should place me 13mm -14 mm on intake and exhaust should all be around 17mm-19mm.

There are some high heat specialty adhesives much better than superglue. They will set slower and give you time to tweak things before joining it to the motor and take all the heat the rocket will throw at it.

I am guessing that the gasket should be placed on the valve cover first. Have also heard that the bolt seals might be Ok. Next time I am going to tackle this repair and take time to detail the cover and the guts a little.

Still don't know if too much oil will cause overflow somewhere in the bike.

Well parts arrived at the local dealer yesterday but the bloody dog stuck it's nose under the gate across the Street again on Saturday afternoon got chewed up again dumb dog. so a trip to the vets and $310 gone so much for the heated hand grips I was going to get.

Will collect gasket and seals on Saturday morning that way goes to next months credit card bill.
