Taking the Rocket on a trip to Shreveport, LA this weekend and look! Got my "Roadster" screen on and ready to hit the road tomorrow morning. We've had no rain for months now, but guess what's in the forecast!.. This trips should finish out the life of my rear tire, and my front tire's getting down there as well, so hope to check out the market for some Avons when I get back.. :)

shreveport...

LOL.... Thats funny Tx! A bunch of my buddies and I were planning on a weekend trip to Shreveport back in late March and between, people getting sick and having family issues pop up, not to mention the rapid chagne in weather from sunny to lightening storms along our intended route, those that did make it wound up heading south for a day trip instead! good luck and let us know if its a good time! Maybe ill rally some guys this summer and head out there for a bachelor's weekend!

I'm over due for a visit up there. I've got some good friends up there who I haven't seen in a year or so. Also, my wife and kids will be up there also on their way returning from Kentucky.

Should be a fun trip.. I'll back road it the whole way.. taking TX 21 and TX 7 to Logansport and heading up LA 5 from there...

there is supposed to be a great lil biker bar not far from the Tx-La border if you are into that kind of thing. Its called Auntie Skinner's Riverboat Club in Jefferson, Tx... it might be worth a detour if you have the time.

I don't think I've been to that one, I'll have to check that out if I ever get that way. I've been to the Lake O' the Pines a few times. :) I used to hang out at Coyote's in Shreveport some. That's where I met my wife... :)

You lucky dog. Right now I would settle for a motorcycle trip to anywhere...even La.;) Have fun, be safe and don't get tangled up with any coon asses:eek:

Made it back alive.. :) Man was it hot today! That trip to Eureka Springs is gonna definitely be a two-dayer. I'm too much of wimp anymore to try that in one day!.. lol

Went to a little 4th of July benefit at the Shriner's Childrens Hospital while I was there. The Rocket was a hit with the kids of course. Not much footage of it here, but there is a small shot. I'm sure there will be other pics as well. I didn't have a camera with me but there were dozen's taking pictures and I'm sure they will be posted on various sites. One of the kids started revving one of the Harleys there (they show that kid in the video clip below), so I let a kid sitting on mine rev it up in a little revving contest.. They had a blast!..
