I am getting ready to dig my Rocket out as the snow is starting to melt here in Wyoming. I am going to download the latest Tuneboy software update and the latest tune. I have TOR's, Cat Bypass and the Triple Uni Filters. I Did not unhook the O2 Sensor or uncheck it in the tune. Can I when I load the updated tune just uncheck the box or do I need to get in there and unhook the sensor? If it is turned off I would assume it wouldn't matter if it was in there?...... but I know what happens when I assume. Thanks.....Craig

Common Craig,get your big ass down on your knees and take the sensor out of the pipe and plug it to if you ever plain on using it again.With out the sensor heater on it it probably wont be usable in a thousand miles..Piggy didnt tell you this because he hates people from Wyo.He took his out and Id like to take mine out too but the wife says please dont bother. Crazy Jack.. Our snow is all gone here Creig..Any noise news????

I don't get this. Checking the box basically keeps the ECU from going into closed loop and using output from the O2 sensor. Does this do something to the sensor? Does checking the box keep the sensor on or off all the time? Isn't unplugging it under the right side panel the same as removing the sensor?
 
Jack - Yes you could remove it and plug the hole with a M18 oil drain plug.




And it might be a good idea if you have plans of hooking up your O2 sensor again.
 
With out the sensor heater on it, it probably won't be usable in a thousand miles.The heater helps keep it clean and within paramiters that the ECU works with. Wow did I just impress my self..How bout just to get it out of the exhuast flow.Sure ain't helping flow..Piggy correct me if this ain't right. Crazy Jack
 
Ok, I will unplug it and remove it. I don't see why I would ever need to hook it back up but I imagine it might be fairly expensive to replace it? Jack, on the noise I talked to Foothills last fall and they want me to bring the bike in. I am probably going to load it up as soon as I can take a day off and drop it off to them and see what they find. I am still hoping with 1400 miles on it they can figure out how to submit the claim under warranty? My luck they won't but I can hope. I will let you know. They told me not to ride it more than I had to in case it was the tensioner or gear key? Anyway I just need to get it fixed ready to ride so when the weather turns real nice in about May I can wear some back tires out!!
 
Pulled the O2 out and plugged it with a M18 oil drain plug, removed the wire and taped off the connector to keep dirt and stuff out until my O2 eliminator from Dynajet comes in. Really was pretty easy. I had one bolt in my heat shield by the O2 sensor that was seized but I dremel tooled and slot in it to use a big screwdriver and she finally came out. Overall an easy task. Thanks Pig9r!!

Why are you getting an "O2 eliminator fro Dynojet" if you're using Tuneboy to keep it out of closed loop?
