No new next bike for me. I'm happy with what I have.......for now.
I never used to have that mindset in past years, but maybe i've learned in my later years how to make the right choices, so I don't keep looking elsewhere all the time.
Not saying I don't appreciate or admire other bikes. I just know what I like and i'm fortunate enough to be able to say that I have it already.
Being one of the lucky few with that absurd low-end torque, how do you tolerate bikes?
Is there any bike out there that could actually eclipse the Rocket in your eyes, what will be your next bike?
depends on how you ride. i can EASILY get better track time and go though a canyon SO MUCH FASTER on my ex500 with almost 50HP because im better in the corner with a light bike that i can actually lean with. if a pro was up against me, i would have no chance.
That's a shame. It must be a bit boring.
No wonder many of you folks on over the pond focus so much on max power and top speed.
If you didn't, you'd probably be falling asleep with boredom.
Well I would, for sure.

What can I say......That's a nice complement. Thanks.
I do pinch myself pretty much every morning.....except when it's raining and blowing a hooley.
Then there's all the mud and sh!t on the roads from the farm traffic etc...
It's not all fun living in a 250 year old house on the top of a hill......mind due, i'm pretty sure i'm not going to get flooded.

There's pluses and minuses everywhere. I chafe at the long winters up here in the north east and the length of the road gritting season. Then I have to remind myself I live on the edge of the north Pennines so not only have I some of the country's finest roads on my doorstep, but as there's very little cultivated land the roads, once the salt has gone, are pretty clean. I never encounter the endless seas of mud I was used to down south and there's vastly less traffic.
Every day when you get to wake up in the morning is a win I guess.

I couldn't enjoy going up I-75 due to the dense traffic and having to dodge the big trucks. Everywhere else I went in Florida the traffic was just nuts. The best part of all my visits in Florida were having my credit card skimmed at the gas stations, it happened everytime. Otherwise a wonderful place to visit.
For sure.
I have driven from west to east plus some of the coast on each side, many years ago.
I enjoyed the experience, despite travelling in a bog stock GM sedan (can't remember model details it was so bland....it kept bonging a lot).
One highlight at that time was watching a rocket launch. Wasn't planned. I just happened to be visiting the Space Center the day before a launch.
Even more exciting than watching a Triumph's version of a rocket.....
