Nothing hurt but my pride.

I did the same thing today. No damage to the bike. I broke it's fall with my ankle and leg. My ankle ain't so good but the bike is fine, and that's all that matters. I know that slow motion feeling when you are past the point of no return. I also know that feeling of feeling your ankle pop and and the sounds of knuckles cracking and wondering if you Will be able to walk. I was able to work on it all day. Got home took off my shoes and socks I'm black and blue all the way through. Rocket riders are different breed, we ain't no Harley fags.

So had a great day riding with our friends Kevin and Dawn today. We did 145 miles in an afternoon.
We stopped at a covered bridge for a break and as we were leaving I stopped to look at the entrance to get back on the road.

A slanted drive emptying out onto a curve banking away from us. Did I say a Slanted drive.
As I came to a stop my left foot did not find the ground until the bike was leaning over and the weight got away from me.

Emma does a slow motion fall to the ground. As I am holding in the clutch I see the astonishment on her face. Our eyes meet and her expression changes to that WTH look only a wife can give her husband.

Dawn goes to Emma's aid. I hit the kill switch and gather my nerve. Emma is ok and I raise the bike back to its wheels just like on the videos for lifting a heavy bike.

Not a mark on the bike. You can tell Triumph designed it for just this incident. You know they were thinking,"this is a heavy mother." Anyway back on the road we go with more stories to tell.

Nothing hurt but my pride.

Hey Billy...great photos. Keep them coming. Glad to hear no one got hurt. Thanks for sharing too.

I don't do x rays or doctors.
Have you heard of Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation - best to do it immediately after injury but even a day later it does make a big difference to your recovery.

Says up to 72 hours to commence for an effect here:
R.I.C.E. - Rest Ice Compression Elevation - Injury Treatment - PhysioAdvisor

At least fill a teatowel with ice from the freezer and wrap around your ankle - to avoid ice damage to skin make sure you have a damp cloth between ice and flesh or you can get a burn like frost bite and move the contact point at least every 30 minutes.
