No drive power to the rear wheel

Ok if it were mine the first thing I would have to try to prove to myself is that I am actully putting it in gear and not just rotating the gear change shaft without the shifting forks moving any dog ring or dog gears. does it feel any different in gear rotating the rear wheel then in neutral?

Yes, it goes through the gears since you can go 1 down and 4 up. The neutral light comes on as well when it goes in neutral. If it were the gear actuator you could just press down or up forever.

I'm gonna try the barnett one more time. The one in mine was the prototype and lasted 10k miles. They changed the design a bit since mine was purchased.

Actually your clutch was slipping a lot, hence the bunt disks. You might add stiffer clutch springs on the clutch basket as well to minimize the slippage of the disks (since you aren't going with a lock-up). The only bad part about that is they make the clutch lever pull a bit harder. Good Luck

The new clutch has a much stiffer pull than the old one did. Barnett must of changed the design quite a bit from the early ones. I never noticed any decrease in spring pressure since I've owned the bike.

The bike had 1500 miles on it when I bought it. The barnett clutch was added at the same time the turbo was added. But it was one of the very first designs.

Maybe I can do some of those 2nd gear launches now.
