Hi Andy and welcome from exotic Idaho.
My favorite swear word I learned on this forum is from the land of OZ. Buggers !! It is satisfying and doesn't offend anyone I know.
Tips for getting to the "middle" faster are the following up-grades:
Handling:
Avon Cobra Tires. Standard size on rear slightly smaller 140/75R-17 up front.
Replace rear shocks with Hagon Nitro or Progressive 444.
Replace front springs with Progressive or Patriot Suspension springs and change fork oil to 7.5W.
These 3 things will make a transformation that you will definitely feel and appreciate if you like to ride the twisties. Your confidence in cornering will go up 100%. It is amazing how much better the Rockets handle with these simple changes.
Engine; Simple:
Get a RamAir filter sytem. Worth every penny and not really expensive.
Get a set of TORs or D&D slip on mufflers. Eliminates the cat.
Either download a suitable tune on TuneECU or get a good Dyno Tune.
Engine; Not so Simple
RamAir Filter as above.
Neville Lush Racing 200 hp Kit.
Full exhaust system from Viking, LMS, or CES.
Full Dyno Tune.
