I know the headers are they same, but do I understand correctly that the exhaust mounting bracket position is the same on a classic/standard as it is on the Roadster?

No it's not.
The Roadster/Touring have the R/H mounting bracket in a different place than the 3 pipe Classic.
Using an early three pipe CAT Delete pipe, you can see that the mounting points are quite different to the Roadster/Touring.
The L/H mount is in the same place.
This shot of the 3 pipe Cat delete is probably not the best orientation to show this, but ya get the picture

THE most power comes from the 3 into 1 anything else is a styling exercise so some even like a 3 into 1into 6

I have a 2005 with TORS. I assume I would use the roadster mounts?

Can anyone who's had TORS on their bike comment about the sound and or power difference.
