Metzlers on the rear are ok at first but lose grip at about half life for some reason and the front starts cupping. I use the Bridgestone Excedra Max on rear and Avon Cobra front - I think it's a good combination but you gotta do what's right for you.

Thanks for that. Do you recon they stick better with hard corning and are they good in the wet as I came off badly on bridgstones (on my HD) so they topic still spooks me a little)Howdy GM 8! Welcome from East Texas

Go with a Bridgestone Exedra Max 240/55X16 rear and Avon Cobra 140/75X17 front!
The stock setup allows the front axle to be ½ inch higher than the rear, which bogs handling.
This setup get the front axle ½ inch lower than the rear and greatly improves handling!

Welcome from South Australia. I replaced the Metzelers with Bridgestones front and rear. They definitely improved the handling. I haven't tried the Avons.
