New R3 has helical cut gears (with pics)

Here’s a table of parts to look at too.

Ooh that's p0rn0..
Looks like torsional damper is on the output shaft, not separate, so 1:1 as suspected..?

Also the crank balancing looks interesting and I don't see a balancer shaft  is it on the other table?

Beveled gears give more contact area. "but" also give a lot of side thrust. Hope they cut those "C" clip grooves deep.;)
Oh boy now that your throwing a monkey wrench in the transmission. Some people are going to have to research the difference between a helical gear as in the transmission of the rocket
And a bevel gear and well atleast a spiral bevel hypoid or not. Let the fun begin :D

Could you explain what you mean?

Could you explain what you mean?
Quickly think of the bevel box on the bike picture them spiral bevel gears
GSB-A2_xl.jpg
now as stated above a standard bevel gear (like saying a bevel gear with straight cut gears excluding the PTF proportional tooth factor generated by the combination of diametral pitch and pitch cone angles)

And well the pictures of the actual helical gears in the transmission were posted above.

Thanks, so they don't necessarily impart more side thrust?
No end thrust along the centerline of the shaft or bore thru the gear. Which is also why you'll see them usually not exceed a 25 degree angle of helix. As a note the angle of helix also affects the real outside diameter of the gear. Its the like a ratio difference between the real circular pitch and the normal circular pitch. Normal being the calculation of the normal spur gear (the people who do not design or manufacture call them straight cut gears) . See inside a helical gear is a spur gear turned at a angle.
