they used to make a vrod with mid controls and i test rode one of those when i was trying to trade my sportster. the bike has loads of power just not til 4000 rpm.

I didn't mind the earlier mid-mounted model ... but I loved the Rocket.

In Feb 09 I bought a new Vrod Muscle that I traded for my first new Rocket in Sept 09
It wasn't a bad bike..stupid name but not a bad bike..the location of the radiator used to worry me a bit and after awhile the riding position sucked
Discovered the Rocket and now I'm on my second..i did mention once that I have a Goldwing..but I think I got away with it :whitstling:

Friend of mine in Denmark found that parts for his Rocket were getting hard to come by ( the Triumph dealer in Denmark closed)

So he sold his Rocket and bought the V Rod, he says he loves it, good for him.

I just wish he'd quit posting all those **** pictures on FB of him and his stupid Harley attire, it's annoying.... :cautious:;)

Here he is

The vrod looks good until someone sits on it..regardless of your size it looks small
But that doesn't happen with our beloved Rocket :D

I say on one at Robbo's in (HD dealer in Canberra) while waiting to meet up with Richard once it felt tiny

Someone must have told him that he looks like something out of the HD catalogue - and he took it as a compliment. Only thing missing is a bandana (or little cloth hat).
Jim, you need to do the world a favour and at least tell him not to tuck his pants into his boots. He'll still look ridiculous but not quite so pathetic.
