New from Brisbane Australia

Sounds like a plan. I'm on the north side and samford is about 20mins from where I live in Griffin but can make the cafe in 25mins if pushing it lol. I have taken my uncles R3 out for a spin and loved it. I noticed to with it sitting just a little higher than my bike, you could lean it in a bit harder without the pegs scraping as soon as mine usually does.Cheers for the welcome guys by the way
Must be about time us Brissy riders got together for a ride. Go kill some kilometers and get rid of those last couple of demerit points :D

Sounds like a plan once my **** indicators arrive :( should have them this week hopefully .
Pulled my old ones off in anticipation and should have waited cos i havent been on the bike for 2 and a half weeks now **** it

Welcome KUZ

Dont be scared of bying an R3R. I got tired of grinding away at the frame and primary cover on my Softtail. Chasing Superglides and GSX 1400s with everything on the deck and no room for error. R3R is infront of most Superglides depending on the rider and not far behind GSX1400. The foot pegs scrape but they fold up. Have scraped foot peg mounting rail but that was braking hard.I weigh 72 kilos wringing wet and dont have any hassels riding the R3R. Just have to park smart and be carefull doing U turns. Might be a different story if it was laying on top of me. Goes stops and handles better than the Softtail Im never going back.

another kuzzie

Chur bro, welcome to the site.you will get all the info you need from this site, both good and bad.the Rocket has a few flaws, ive had trouble with no ignition, fast idle,no idle, jammed in 1st gear, due to shaft breakage x2, all of which triumph fixed thru warranty, even when it was out of warranty, they still fixed it. thats something one doesnt see these days.this is my 2nd rocket now,and i have done more than 60k kilometers on my 2 rockets,so i think i know abit about them. This is how i ride mine.i/we ride in the countryside sth of perth, long wide open roads with alot of twisties and hills chucked in for good measure. Gas it,set the next bend up,brake earli-sh,own the line, block out the sport bikes that have been chasing you [but can't match your acceleration] thru the apex, bring the power back on....bye bye everyone. The pimply bits on your foot pegs [hero nipples]can be ground right off if your really pushing. they will bend so Don't be put off by the flying sparks and ****. if you ever find yourself in a bind, normally by running too hot into a bend, remember,if theres no sparks flying, you still have time to 'save it'by leaning more, alot of people freeze at this point, then burn,so STAY OFF the brakes, the front CAN lock and dump you[non ABS]. IMPO the back brake is 95% ineffctive.when im in a tight city roundabout i hold a steady speed into the bend, pull in the clutch,go round then let the clutch back out moto-x style, on the other side.happy riding, and again, welcome.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. Lived in Perth for 5 years, **** for riding as not lot of hills but brissy is great for it.
Not scared to buy the bike either just got to find the right time/price and a steel guard for my nuts which will be cut off after getting it home lol.
When I brought the M90 the missus said no too but brought it anyway, the day before xmas...thanks santa for using my bank details.
As for scraping the pegs, I have no problems doing that. In fact I buy titanium peg nubs from the states as their longer the than factory steel ones and give off a bright spark(looks great at night over nebo). Think I'm on my 8th set now in a year and 5th back tyre in 18mths.

But all keen for ride when you guys are ready. Also I know its not a R3 yet but heres some pix of my current ride

And loaded up heading the long way to Coffs Harbour

Hope the pixs work, Cheers Trev

Sounds like you've already made up your mind then,
nothing left to do but pull the trigger.
To the only thing mentioned by you that hasn't been addressed so far
by the other guys welcoming you.
TRE, yep, you'll want one of those.
We've all went with the Gi-Pro w/ATRE.
price is reasonable and it's pretty much plug and play.
Again, like everyone else has said, WELCOME,
now go get your new bike....;)
Was the first mod I brought for my current ride, a must have

First real day back on the bike today, be a couple more weeks and shoulder and other injuries should be fine for a full days riding i reckon. So who's putting their hand up to organise our first ride together ?
