New Clutch Install

I got my new clutch kit with springs from Carpenter Racing. I will be replacing the oil and coolant and ordering a new clutch cover gasket. It was mentioned that I should change out the detent spring as well. Only 4700 miles on the bike. Any thing else I should look at possibly changing while I am at it?

If the detent spring is not broken then don't touch it. I suspect that most of the failures are due to the spring being nicked or weakened when installing. I am curious as to why you are replacing these items on a new bike which is still under warranty.

I tortured the clutch during a weekend training event. Lots of slow speed maneuvers constantly trying to keep the clutch in the friction zone while doing cone weaves, offset waves, U turns and such. Then I tortured it with some extreme burnouts when I was getting ready to replace the rear tire

Any thing else I should look at possibly changing while I am at it?

Just to replace the coolant hoses with the Samco kit. 2018 you have all the newest parts inside.
Although you could replace the spring bolts with 50mm long ones but at stock power it's not necessary.
Clutch adjustment as per manual is critical.

Cool I didn't know Bob was selling complete clutch kits. I thought he just jad the jeavier springs. What brand name are the fibers amd steels? And if you dont mind what was the complete price ?

The plates and fibers are Suzuki brand for the Hayabusa. Can probably source them cheaper than what I paid for them at Carpenter. That's my plan on next clutch change if they work well. Everything was $350, springs were $50 and Clutch pack was $300 if I remember the breakdown correctly.

Do NOT over-tighten the bolts that hold the clutch pack together.

Here are some pics of old vs new. Yes the middle 3 fibers exploded. Made sure to clean everything up really well. The springs are stiffer, about the same length but thicker and wound a little tighter. The steel plates are a good bit thicker and feel sturdier. The fibers have more material but not as much as I have seen on Barnett's.
Still have to put the radiator back on and top off the fluids. Then will dial in clutch.

Looking to replace my clutch over the winter (started slipping while on a long road trip) and looking at options. For this Hyabusa clutch pack, was there any issues with the increased stack height given the thicker steel plates?

No issues so far. This is the clutch pack that Carpenter puts in when they do engine upgrades
