New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

I know, I was making an analogy.

Because it is not just floorboards, you'd need a new shifter, current one is too short for floorboards. Likely, the brake pedal might need to be custom too, depending on the floorboard angle. It is not as simple as just hacking in floorboards. The controls are not the right length. Even right now with pegs, you can't even use somewhat thick toe-ed shoes like boots, not enough space. With floorboards, there is not enough space for normal shoes to get under the shifter. Overall, it is a lot of custom parts that need to be bought, many discarded, maybe even have a small metal workshop.. I live in a condo..

Surprised nobody mentioned the rear suspension. That's really my only dislike about the bike. But it's not like I was expecting to much. Its just the way it is in cruiser world I guess. been on Adv. bikes for a long time, so maybe its just more noticeable. I'd try a shock upgrade if there was a good option with some happy reports. Nitrons are $1100

Wow, no kidding? I have it turned out all the way. With the compression damping set on non existent. Its the sharp, hard, spine compressing hits that get me. No complaints otherwise. I would have thought cranking up the preload would make it worse. But no harm in trying.

You hit the nail on the head......Rear suspension.....The weakest link to achieving a perfect Rocket 3 experience on normal roads.
