Hey Bull; I'm no expert on the area but saw that you were spending more time on 41 (ugly slab) than you should.

This is the route that I would recommend. Others may have better ideas, YMMV etc.

I agree except not a fan of the stonehenge replica other than a place to take a break. Hwy 39 is my favorite over all three of the sisters. If you get tired of the twisties, 39 has an abundance of less adventurous sweeps along the scenic Guadalupe river.
