Being in the construction trade for quite a few years I have seen quite a few fingers nailed together, most of the time it is two people who have never worked together, Is this the second time you have done this? (the first and the last)
Its a learning experience for sure. I have been lucky and never run a nail thru any body part. I might have cut a couple finger tips off before but you learn quickly to be careful
One thing for sure no matter what the injury is the doctor should probably point out that if you do this more then once people will start calling you stupid
I do wonder if this was your way of getting out of work
One of the guys at work rammed a screwdriver through his arm a few years ago (still have no idea how). Was almost comic, just heard *thunk* "Ow... Uh... Oh... Um... Can someone drive me to A&E?" look over and he's standing there with a flathead screwdriver through his lower arm.
ouch
does this mean that he will be doing the work and you will give him a hand.
being a mechanic if you kept you fingers out of danger you would not get much done.
years ago i hit my hand with a 5 pound hammer and the knuckle turned white i thought it was shattered and went to the doctor he looked at my hand and the first thing he said was when did it start hurting i told him immediately after i hit it with the hammer.

Hey, I did that a few years back. One of my fingers hurt bike the blazes for a couple of weeks, but stopped when I decided to go to the doctor if it lasted much longer. A month or so later discovered that the bone was in fact broken and had healed out of alignment (oops!)
