My poor old rocket

My bike has mysteriously started backfiring at start up every morning it pops and farts and wakes up my nieghbours
I have explained to my wife that since we cant afford a new silverback it looks as if I may have to replace the worn out cams and pistons which are causing this mysterious back firing I believe that this and a certain gent doing some tuning may bring my old worn out rocket back to some semblance of normality and give my nieghbours some peace in the mean time it continues to fart and bang at start up the nieghbours who do complain I have told its not my fault the bike is positively worn out and may not even be safe without some new cams v/vs and pistons not to mention the fuel I am wasting without this fuel efficient upgrade
I will let you know how this turns out as it may take a while.

46000MILES it seems to take even longer to get to 145 on the speedo
I am sure that higher lift cams will cure this problem

Sounds like a ploy to get the better half to let him make some improvements.
Nobody wants cranky neighbors .

I am making these improvements purely in the interest of fuel economy and shortening my commute trying to get the Miami to Ft Lauderdale time down below 23 mins Door to door
