With the engine tuning well on the way, it is time to fit these.

Just arrived from Thunderbike New Zealand. These 1.5" T Bars are without doubt, the most comfortable bars I have ever had on a Rocket, and this is my 8th Rocket.

This is the 4th set I have ordered from Thunderbike, and have never been disappointment in their quality or service. Makes holding on a lot easier as well.

Nice bars. You obviously like them being the fourth set you have bought. Is is just more comfortable or do you find they help in other ways?

They give you a more aggressive sitting position, and the bend suits my plated up wrists better. They sit better with the 5" Monster Tacho I am fitting up as well.

Thunderbike love me

Have to agree. I love my OVER oversized TBars. Money well spent, would buy again, would recommend.

Pros:
No new cables/hoses needed.
Easy to fit.
Good Construction.
Look smexy.
Less inward turn on the wrists, especially in corners.

Cons"
They're quite heavy.
On Roadsters you have to carefully and gently bend the included adapter plate to get the gauges to tuck under without hitting the tank.
The gauges have to be removed and bars lifted to get the tank up (unless you fit them "just" right).

Steering effort is lower than stock bars because your hands are closer to perpendicular with the front tire so leverage is closer to 90 degrees.

I have an appointment this Friday to potentially have a local fab guy do a set up in 6061. This should address the "heavy" con, and I'll have him do a couple of very slight tweaks to the angles to be perfect for my size/shape (they're already very close).

So they are 1.5' at the T Section but 1' at the controls right?

Looks sick by the way :)
