Metzlers with Avons?

IT HAS BEEN DONE but if you use the the two eyelets behind the sump with flipmeister lift pegs it will be much simpler and safer and you use your lift table with no concern and the R3 does not fall forward unless you deliberately put the table out of centre of balance.

WELL I now have 3000 miles on my 09 classic and I cant say anything bad about the tires none of the complaints ive heard about Ive leaned it over till the floorboards scraped and none of slides or slipping and a lot of stoplight takeoffs and no spinning as reported by others and the rear tire looks to be good for another 6 to 8 k easily no surprize as Ive been riding the modded rockets and they all have METZLERS and have twice the HP of my new bike BUT Ive heard good things about the AVONS and my bike handles and stops xcellent and after riding PHILS bike with the CT I would never give up the good handling of the MTires even if the CT lasted forever BUT IVE ridden a buddys BOURGET chopper that I thought was HORRIBLE and others thought was a dream bike SO to each his own

R3T with Metzlers

I have done 5500kms on my R3T. My first Metz rear tyre had to be replaced after 2500km because small tearing right round the tyre. I put it down to a bad tyre and Triumph inspected and replaced it. Now, after 5500km it has happended again. Anyone else had this issue?

Metz Front & Avon Rear

I ran an Avon rear and Metzler front during my switch and experienced absolutely no adverse effects. I am NOT an aggressive rider, however.
