After taking an extended ride last winter and dressing out in my leather coat and chaps...and almost freezing to death during the ride, I promised myself that I would purchase some winter riding gear for myself for Christmas this year.
So...I played Santa to myself and purchased a British Motorcycle Gear (BMG) Challenger jacket while at the Dallas International Motorcycle Show a few weeks ago, and ordered a pair of fleece-lined ballistic nylon chaps from ColoradoChaps.com earlier this week.
I have yet to find a coat with the features and construction of the BMG jacket for the price ($279 and excellent customer service)....more pockets than I can use, waterproof, lined, and perfect fit. The Colorado Chaps were also a real find...buddy of mine bought a pair last year and he swears by them.
