Maxton fork cartridges GP30 in USA?

After my first 1200 miles on the girl, I do believe she needs new garters... there are lots of options for the rear, but not the front.

It seems clear to me that the front needs more than springs, it needs better valving. While the ride was OK on the big slab, corners left it wallowing. Why bother with inverted forks if you're not going to make them good? Anyway..

I spoke with the K-Tech North American rep at the Long Beach IMS a few months ago, and he told me K-Tech is working with Triumph directly to develop a full aftermarket suspension set up for the Rocket -- including fully adjustable front inserts and adjustable rears with remote reservoirs -- and that it should be out in a few months. I'd reach out to your local K-Tech dealer and see what they know.

If I did not already have modified forks on mine I would be looking at a set of them. I remember Rocket Captain Todd had a set in his Rocket and loved them. I know adjustable ride height and adjustable high speed compression/rebound dampening really improves the beast.
Did Maxton say whether they have a set they sell over seas?

John, Change the front fork springs to something like the Progressive fork springs and then put 7 weight fork oil back in. It does do wonders. The key is to also change the back shocks at the same time to something like Progressive 430, 440, 444 or something like Hagen Nitro shocks or Wilber shocks. These changes together get rid of the wallowing completely.

First 1200 miles and you are shopping shocks?
You, my friend, are a good and smart rider!
These look good to me . . . perhaps a tad spendy.
So far I have been OK with my Progressive front spring swap and 444s on the rear.
Professional shock companies I have contacted want to have my motor and build up a cartridge set. The cost for this is close to $1,000.

I do, BUT they are not near perfect!
For a rider that does not push the Rocket to its handling limits, my set up (Progressive 444s rear and springs front) is great.
When balls out, I still get some wallow in the twisties and when dragging frame and engine this is NOT good!

hahaha... well, not sure about that. But maybe I have a Princess and the Pea-Butt! I guess my other rides spoil me (Concours 14 and '97 ZX-11). I'm pretty sure pushing this weight around isn't easy, but they do it on a Goldwing, so it isn't impossible.

That changing both front and rear is needed (and you're probably right that springs/oil and rears would likely do it). I know Triumph increased the rear spring rate in '10 but I'm guessing they didn't change the valving, just dumped new springs on it. I'm 200lb and found the shock needed to be at preload #1 to function solo, otherwise it was acting like a rigid... but on #1 it seemed to have not near enough dampening.. maybe it will loosen up?

As for rear shocks, I've been in contact with Klaus at EPM Performance. He recommends the YSS or the Hyperpro shocks and he comes highly recommended... but again, lots of options out there and a smarter shock with a progressive spring in the back would do wonders I agree.

I have been looking at the Traxxion. Gets a little spendy when you sport the tool kit and the external adjustments (they come with the Maxton)... I will look into the K3 as well...

Course the girl does ride well as is, so nothing is a crisis... it's just I know there's so much more inside her. Thanks for the suggestions and links.. very helpful.
