Maverick Lowrider Seat

Hello all from here in Manchester England. I feel I must offer a alternate review of the Maverick customs R3 low rider seat .
I've had one on my bike since February this year & have to say I'm extremely pleased with it. I find it extremely comfortable. The quality foam used means it's considerably lower without losing any comfort . I regularly ride long trips on the bike & always need to stop for fuel & bathroom stops before I'd feel the need to rest my behind .The lower riding position gives a more involved feel & ride.
As regards not being able to ride in the rain ? As previously mentioned I live In Manchester , England & we get a lot & I mean a lot of rain ! Never had an issue of water getting under the seat into the air box, nor when washing the bike as I have to do regularly .
Granted the seat does not remove with the bike key but it takes less than one minute with an Allen key to remove.
In summary:-
Great look
Great price
Comfortable
Just my humble opinion, hope it counts.

Hey mate, an intro would be nice. Plus, what's your affiliation if any with this particular seat/company? Your avatar pic is the same pic they have on their web site, right?

Here's the thing - it does not really look any different. There is an option to re-cover it with new leather or reuse the Triumph stock cover which is some type of synthetic. The Triumph cover is very stretchy but does not conform like leather so the seat essentially looks the same.
It is however narrower, lower and more defined. I can take pics but you won't be able to see how significantly different it feels.

Still no refund from Mike at Maverick. On July 1, my last email from Mike he said he would let me know as soon as the seat landed. Tracking shows it was delivered that same day. Yet Mike has not advised me that it arrived, he has not provided me a refund as promised, and he has not responded to my email inquiries. I would suggest using caution in dealing with this company.

By caution you mean don't.....

By caution you mean don't.....

At this point I would say - Don't.

June 11th email from Mike:
Hi Brian,
My apologies, I thought I had replied..
I did edit the seat description based on your feedback to avoid any future misunderstanding.
If you are not happy with the seat please do return it to the workshop address. Once it arrives here I will process your refund..
If you have any questions please contact me..
Regards,
Mike

July 1st email from Mike:
Hi Brian,
No problems, as soon as it lands here I will let you know..
Regards,
Mike.

The seat per USPS tracking arrived the same day, July 1st, as his very last correspondence to me. 22 days later and he has not provided a refund. Nor has he had the consideration, integrity or courage to at least communicate his intentions or respond to a half dozen emails.

A man of his words - you decide.

BFLYER...I feel your pain for sure.

I too tried to order a seat from maverick "customs". What a bunch of BS. Ordered the seat, waited over 6 weeks for my "seat" and after opening a case with ebay US due to not getting much response (other than lies and false promises) from Mike the owner both on his website and on ebay, 8 weeks after ordering it, it finally arrived sloppily wrapped in cheap household plastic wrap. His "instructions" were barely legible, and once I realized that the "seat" was actually a poorly made, ill fitting, cheap piece of junk, I opted to immediately return it for a refund.

After shipping it back for a cost to me of over $110.00 US, it sat at the local UK post office near his shop for nearly a month, even after I complained to ebay US, emailed him repeatedly, and then I finally got so pissed off I called him at his "shop" and spoke to him personally.

The only thing that finally partially saved me from all of this was the first ebay rep I spoke to opened a new case instead of changing the status of my original case from "item not delivered as promised" to 'item returned but have not yet received my refund". That somehow caused some other ebay rep to mysteriously give me a total refund based on my original case, and yet another ebay rep the very next day denied my second case...lol

So in the end, it cost me over $110.00 to figure out that it was better to R & R the seat cover and re-do the foam on my stock seat, and to NEVER EVER do business with Mike from maverick "customs" again. And needless to say, I am a lot more cautious before ordering anything on ebay from now on.

Good luck...and I hope everything works out OK.

Mike never replied to any of my emails nor provided a refund.

In today's world I can't imagine how anyone expects to do business this way. If you have a customer unsatisfied with your product you need to refund him promptly, with a smile and a thanks for your business. Ignoring this customer by non-communication and/or refusing to refund until action is taken only further compounds the problem. The old rule that if you make a customer happy he'll tell a couple of people but if you provide poor service he'll tell a dozen people is now if you provide poor service he will tell the world on the internet - and it stays there indefinitely!
