I did some work on my 2011 Rocket Roaster over the past two weeks including new valve cover gasket, replacement of all coil connectors.... well in putting the bike together again i forgot the horn radiator fan connectors and rasing the tank up again the bear claw f'd my intake clamps because i forgot to remove it. ANYwho I had to put my K&N pod filters back on and retune. I read on a string in this site that people use a material to dampen the knocking and chirping down on the inside face of the bearclaw itself. I was hoping someone on this site could point me in the right direction on purchasing the correct material and adhesive for such a job. I like the pods just not the noise. =)

One of the things I liked about the triple K&Ns was the fact I could lift the tank and not have to worry about the bear claw - because I'd cut it to exposed the filters. Of course the chirping was there and while I wasn't fond of it, it didn't really bother me. I know this doesn't address your problem at all - except you wouldn't have ***d your clamps. ;)

I tried bitumen sheeting (about 2 or 3mm thick) melted it onto the back of the stock claw with a heat gun. Can't say it helped much. Les's (OzRiders) custom claw fixed the chirping noise completely .. I couldn't stand the chirping noise that came with fitting the K&N filters .. drove me insane.
