Looking to buy a rocket soon

Hi Tony and welcome to the site. Get a photo emailed to you and post it to the site - these guys will quickly tell you what it is you're looking at.

I bought mine over the net and travelled 1500 km to pick it up. I'd never even ridden a Rocket before. I must have been nuts but got to take a risk sometimes...hopped on it and rode home over a few days, fantastic trip.

And very pleased that I bought it!

Well not quite right there young Mitch or Mittzy. Classics are limited to 121 mph and standards to 136 mph. Roadsters don't need a limiter because they're black and can't go fast enough to worry but they are limited to 120 mph.

Standards are the fastest, and red ones get there faster - proven by Dave's scientific test. No further discussion need be entered into.

Oh wow forgot to add the year its a 2005 and its a standard,i only assumed a classic since its got floorboards for the rider and driver and i read that was an upgrade the classic got. Its not listed as one, I'm going to see about checking what maintenance had been done and especially about the ignition issue. From what I've read on here it seems to be a frustrating but not to difficult a fix.

Thanks for all the quick replies if this is the rocket support group than I'm liking forward to such a positive outlet for my new obsession.

Oh here she is by the way

Are you sure it's an '05? I didn't think '05s had the blacked out engine. Also, it *appears* from the picture that the wheels are black. That's also not stock. Did he paint them or have them powder coated?

Where is the bike located? Perhaps one of us live close and could check the bike out for you.

its located in San Diego California,in the second pic that didn't come out Very good the rims are definitely grey but the engine does look black to me as well. I got a text from him claiming its a classic, so if the engine is black and its a classic then he might have miss typed the year..don't anyone go buying my bike now..;)
I'll try and post the actual link soon
