Looking to buy a rocket soon

You don't have to worry about me, I have no interest in a Rocket; been there, done that, have the t-shirt. I can't look at it either as I'm about as far from San Diego as you can get. My daughter lives in San Diego, but I don't think you want her looking it over for you. Lol

Oh here she is by the way

Floorboards and chrome valve cover wher standard on the classic but could also be purchased seperately and fitted to the standard wheels look correct on my computer.

Its definitely a standard unless its been painted as classics are all two tone.
also notice it has Iso kuryakyn grips i also use these and love them.
only thing i can see from pic is the bottom silencer should be turned round a little to match the top one but thas just me being picky :D.

Also as Rocket Darrel said im fairly sure black engines didnt come out til 06 but maybe some did at the far end of 05 not totally sure

I'm up in Northern California in Rocklin, just moved here from Yuba City a little over a month ago there's bunches of great riding roads out here I can't wait to take advantage of.

Looks good. I'd say it's a Standard but the engine may not be the original. The red paint is the older colour that was used in 04, 05 so I'd believe the compliance plate on that score. Engine's probably from a Classic or it's had the chrome cover added. The boards aren't Classic boards but Triumph accessory boards that sit up a little higher. Bars look like Standard. Exhaust tips, Standard. Looks clean and tidy.
Do it!

It's 2012 Jim. ;)

But you're right, he only says it's a Classic, so presumably '06-'09.

One thing though, Tony, you mention that it's red and also that it only has passenger boards. You may not be aware but Classics are 2 tone and came with rider boards. You might want to check that it is actually as Classic and not a Standard. A red Classic would be either Red with white inserts (blood and bone) or black with red inserts - I think they were the only 2 combinations. There are other minor differences too, such as different bars and different badges on the side tins, dual seat (as on my bike), I believe a lower top speed (limited), but all could have been changed over the years I guess.

Standards are of course the very best and fastest of the lot, so not a huge worry; just want to make sure you're buying what you think you are. If it's older than '06 it definitely isn't a Classic. One model, the Classic Tourer in '07, had a grey engine; all the other Classics had black. Pre '06 Standards had grey motors.

Sorry to be confusing but if you post some details we can probably tell you what it really is.
they also came in a beautifull blue and white
