Lights, dash but no spinny spinny.

Next question is, where are the grounding points? I know there's one on the starter, one on the battery, any more? Might just make my own.

i think that you grounded the starter relay ? now that does not mean that you have a ground problem it means that grounded the same terminal that the ecu grounds after it receives a signal that the safety's are ok. safety's = neutral light, side stand switch, clutch switch, starter button
if your clutch switch is malfunctioning you can try to start by letting out the lever while holding starter button in,
if it is not the clutch switch then hold clutch lever in press the starter button hard and wiggle it to see if it will start.
hth
do you have a neutral light?
have you tried it with kick stand up?

Thanks Turbo, that's some solid info. Tuneecu still isn't connecting so I guess the ECU isn't powering up. Clutch and side stand switches are next in line for examination. I have a neutral light, I did try with the stand up and the clutch in. All the relays (two on the right and 4 on the left) have all been checked and are fine for operation and continuity. Like twat I forgot to bring the Noco in to up the volts a bit when starting. Also, I'll try what you said with the clutch and starter.

i think that it is time (for checking purposes) to take a battery wire with 20 amp fuse and go from bat to the lights fuse to see if everything works.
also when you try to connect tuneecu make sure the ignition is on b4 trying to connect tuneecu.
