Lifting petrol tank

Yep

Think the gauges have to be swiveled forward , cant rememeber exactly , been a while since the rocket went

on latter models you don't have to move gauges, look under the right side of the tank it is sitting in a clip and yes with the bars straight you simply undo the hex fastener at front of tank ( try not having a full tank or it will run out of overflow)

Yeah its a metal rod with a slight bend in it & a platic tip on one end . It lives underneath the lip of the right side of the tank, & has 2 clips to house it.

Yep the rod is clipped to the coil bracket then plastic tip up and in the tank tang rod end down into the threaded hole the bolt came out of like propping up a hood.

Certainly use up, or drain some of the fuel out of the tank before propping her up; especially on the side stand. The weight of a tank full of fuel certainly strains the hinges towards the rear of the tank sideways; if the bike is leaning over on it's side-stand.
