oh he got the point the book is not correct it’s definitely headlight starter, thanks man I’m ordering resistors now

Between him and decosse I can just throw the dang book away, as he was helping me I read an old thread with decosse saying no flasher relay on touring use resistors but I had already asked him to explain the book lol. I’m a rookie thanks Ygransom for your help and patience

I’ve found a few inconsistencies in the manual which I expect as it’s dated. My next purchase will be an up to date service manual, no guessing then.

Just to confuse you more....the roadster has a flasher unit on the right hand side where you show in the pic but its a 3 pin relay...the only 3 pin relay on the bike i believe. This is the one that gets replaced to sort out the flashing sequence.....but that's the Roadster. Thats where the confusion is i think.

The manual is like an old Meccano instruction book , every page has a deliberate mistake to make our us laterally think !
