Lash caps after cam mod

Hi,
after street/FA cam mod I need up to 3.63 mm intake shims, which seems difficult to source.
I can get lash caps, but I cannot find any post confirming this is a viable option.
Q1: Lash caps - viable option?
Q2: I measure the top of the valve stem (valves are not out yet, waiting for proper valve tool to arrive) dia to 5,5mm. Can anyone conform this is correct?

No takers I guess. I have ordered lash caps and a valve removal tool and will know in a few days anyway. And will post the result here on the off chance someone needs to reduce clearance beyond available shims capacity

I know of no one to use lash caps, what is street/fa cam mod? Valve stems 5.475- 5.490, valve guide bore is 5.5-5.51. What are your valve clearances, wanna show your work sheet. Is your feeler gauge strait or bent tip.

Clearance example: measured 0.93 on a 2.80 shim. Set target clearance (intake) at 0.13 -> need 3.60 shim

I bent my 0.63 feeler to a suitable radius. The 0.30 feeler on top flexed well enough.
That said, I might be slightly off. Have never measured this much clearance before. But will mention that the cam engineer warned that clearance could end up to +1 mm

Hi, stock head.
Yes 25mm shims are used. But difficult to find 25mm shims above 3.50 mm thicknesses

Still wandering about street/fa cam upgrade? Checking valve clearances on the rocket is tricky, your numbers are very out of spec, makes me think something is up with your checking method or base circle on cam is off by atleast that 1mm. 4mm shims seems excessive.
